Ceremony, prayer and honouring the voices of the Earth in Glasgow, COP26
Sacred Earth Activism will be doing all we can to support a positive outcome from the vital COP26 climate talks being held in Glasgow from Sunday 31 October to Friday 12 November by holding sacred spaces for ceremony, and prayer over the course of the conference.
What is happening at COP26?
This is a make or break year to tackle the climate and ecological emergency, as the window of opportunity to remain under 1.5 degrees is diminishing. World leaders will meet to discuss plans and reach agreements, but we wait to see if these will be sufficient to limit the worst effects of climate and ecological breakdown.
Join us in ceremony to honour the Voices of the Earth
We invite you to join Sacred Earth Activism in Glasgow where, while COP26 discussions continue, we will call to the Earth, the ancestors, and the unseen realms, in prayer and ceremony, to ask for their strength and support and guidance.
We will begin at 11am at the Quad, between 273 and 281 Kenmure Street, in East Pollokshields on Wednesday 3rd November and on Wednesday 10th November 2021.
We will open a sacred space for ceremony, prayer, and honouring the voices of the earth, calling to the spirits of the land, of the ancestors, and the future generations of all beings. The opening of sacred space will be followed by a ceremony with the intent to acknowledge, honour and thank the forces of earth and our ancestors, asking for their support during these crucial times.
We invite you all to participate in the ceremonies. Bring a drum or rattle or just yourself and your open heart.
